Congregation Mishkan Or

Teen Programs

At Mishkan Or, we offer lots of onramps for teens to have meaningful connections to Jewish living.

On Monday nights, we have Monday Night Limmud for 6th-12th graders, where students learn with educators and clergy about Jewish identity, Jewish practice, and more.

For students that can’t join us on Monday nights, we offer an alternative program called Kulam, where students learn in a small group in conversation with clergy.

Leadership Institute is a special program high schoolers can apply to participate in, where students enjoy leadership training, mentorship, and community service projects.

We engage over 77 madrichim (teen leaders, seen here in the pink shirts) at our various Limmud programs, who get to gain valuable experience in education, mentoring younger students, and contributing to the community. They also do monthly graining sessions with our educators.

We also offer multiple opportunities each year for our teens to travel with our community and the greater Cleveland community. We go to Washington, DC to lobby with the RAC, we send our students on IsraelNow trips to Israel and around the United States. We also offer a civil rights trip to the south and other engaging and meaningful travel experiences.

In addition to these offerings, we have fun, social programming for our teen community to enjoy together.
