Friday, January 17
6 pm. Shabbat honoring the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We will welcome guest speaker Maya Wiley, President and CEO, Leadership Conference on Civil & Human Rights. We’ll also welcome Pastor Mary Hatten of Affinity Missionary Baptist Church along with members of their community including the Praise Team of Affinity adding music and spirit to our prayers.
On Saturday, Jan. 18, 9 am, Special Shabbat Morning Study will be co-taught by Rabbis Roger Klein and Robert Nosanchuk, focusing on texts composed by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and their enduring relevance today! This Study will be offered in person and live-streamed.

Wednesday Mornings, January 8, 15, 22, 9 – 10 am
Rabbis Joshua Caruso and Roger Klein are co-leading a virtual series, Unlocking
the Prayerbook: Finding New Meaning in Our Prayers. The curriculum curated by
the Hadar Institute explores Shabbat and daily prayer with an eye toward personal
meaning.

Rabbi Joshua Caruso and Rabbi Roger Klein will be offering a new four-week virtual series which begins
Wednesday, Feb. 12. This series, Everyday Moral Dilemmas, explores moral dilemmas, the sorts of which we each encounter in our lives, through the lens of traditional
Jewish texts. The class will consider questions like: “If and when is it okay to shame
someone else for the sake of protecting another,” and “Are there instances in which
it is not only permissible to lie but in fact necessary?” This course was created by Project Zug (Zug is Hebrew for partner).
