Julianna Johnston Senturia, Fairmount Temple’s new Executive Director, reflects on entering a season of New Beginnings:
As we enter the season of new beginnings with Jewish New Year just weeks away, I’m a few days into my own fresh start as Fairmount Temple’s new Executive Director. But, this one feels different, because so much is familiar. This week has been about reconnection, new ideas, solving issues and looking ahead. There’s so much to share, and just know, behind the scenes, everyone is working hard to make the holidays joyful, meaningful and safe.
I’m so inspired by the new energy that Cantor Lapin and Rabbi Mulhbaum are sharing with us.
I took a lunch break in our beautiful atrium.
Religious School staff (Joey Laidman and Elizabeth Kleckner) are getting ready to for Early Childhood opening next week and the return of students to our beloved Religious School in September.
Bumped into the Dough Street cookie team in the kitchen!
The history of our beloved congregation is everywhere. The voices of the past are with us and our history grounds us.
I can’t do this work without Barb Smith, trusted Executive Assistant.
I’ve always loved the stained glass windows in the Chapel where each of my children celebrated milestone moments.
I’m settling into my office, looking forward to meeting you here and out in the community, and excited to be part of the Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple family!
